Pay Class: Pay Class Tab
General
- Name - The name that identifies the pay class.
- Pay Period Type - Select the duration for the pay cycle.
- Weekly - A weekly pay period's length is 7 days. You choose when the current pay period begins.
- Bi-Weekly - A bi-weekly pay period's length is 14 days. You choose when the current pay period begins.
- Semi-Monthly - A semi-monthly pay period occurs twice per month. You choose when the current and next pay period begins.
- Monthly - A monthly pay period occurs once a month. You choose when the current pay period begins.
- Custom - A custom pay period allows you to define the pay period length. You choose when the current pay period begins and ends and also when the next pay period ends. For example, your current pay period may start on the 1st and end on the 18th and your next pay period will start on the 19th and end on the 29th. Each time you close a custom pay period you will be prompted to set the date that the 'new' next pay period will end. Please Note: Only two open pay periods will be available when using the custom pay period option.
- Round Registrations By - Choose how punches will be calculated. Please Note: This setting will not apply to punches associated to a shift.
Pay Period Dates
- Current Pay Period Start - Choose the date that the pay period begins.
- Use End of Month - This setting is only available if 'Semi-Monthly- or 'Monthly' is selected. Select this option if your pay period begins on the end of the month. If you choose this setting, the date will automatically change to the last date of the selected month
For example, the Current Pay Period Starts On is set to January 28th. When 'Use End Of Month' is selected, the Current Pay Period Starts On will change to January 31st..
- Current Pay Period End - Choose the date that the pay period ends. This setting is only available if 'Custom' is selected, otherwise it will be set automatically.
- Next Pay Period Start - Choose the date that your next pay period begins. This setting is only available if 'Semi-Monthly' is selected; otherwise it will be set automatically.
- Use End Of Month - This setting is only available if 'Semi-Monthly' or 'Monthly' is selected. Select this option if your pay period begins on the end of the month. If you choose this setting, the date will automatically change to the last date of the selected monthFor example, the Current Pay Period Starts On is set to January 28th. Pay Period Settings
- Automatically Close Pay Periods - Choose whether to manually or automatically close pay periods.
- Do Not Auto-Close - Select this setting if you wish to always manually close the pay periods.
- Auto-Close Pay Periods - Select this setting for PayClock to automatically close the pay periods.
- Day To Wait Before Closing - Set the amount of days after the current pay period ends for the automatic close to occur. For example, if the current pay period ends on 8/22/2016 and the Days to Wait Before Closing is set to 5, the pay period will automatically close on 8/27/2016.
- Time To Close Pay Periods - Set the time that the automatic close will happen.
- Time Zone for Auto-Close - Select the time zone to use for the auto-close time setting.
